It follows the story of Ortaiga Blackwood, a young man with seemingly useless magic who is forced into a larger conflict that threatens not only the magical beings of his world, but also the freedom of the wider universe.

Ortaiga Blackwood
A young man born with magic considered weak and impractical by most of society. Beneath his dry wit and guarded personality lies someone struggling with guilt, responsibility, and the fear of becoming powerless when others need him most.

Lyra Blackwood
A healer and hunter raised alongside her brothers in the forests of Terrinia. Compassionate but fierce when pushed, Lyra carries the burden of believing she must protect everyone around her, even when doing so tears her apart emotionally. Though not a traditional warrior, she is far from helpless.
Doren Blackwood
The eldest of the Blackwood siblings and a hardened warrior willing to do whatever is necessary to keep his family safe. Beneath his intimidating strength is a deeply caring man terrified of losing control of the violent power awakening inside him. His journey explores the line between protector and monster.
Gratolas
An ancient dragon and a powerful ally to Ortaiga and his companions. Gratolas fought alongside Tobias Blackwood in a past era and carries the weight of that history into the present. He speaks directly, acts with authority, and chooses his trust carefully, but once given, it is absolute.
Mysterious but not evasive, Gratolas is driven by a long-standing desire to see the world freed from the forces that bind and corrupt it. Despite his immense power, he is measured in how and when he intervenes, remaining fiercely loyal to those he has accepted as his own.
Solare
A mysterious Kitsune with a sharp tongue, dangerous intelligence, and far more secrets than she willingly admits. Elegant, manipulative, and emotionally guarded, Solare hides deep loneliness beneath humor and confidence. Despite her reputation, she has spent centuries trying to become something better than what the world expects her to be.
Rheea Saffron
A Vulperin soldier from another world whose advanced technology appears almost magical to the people of Terinia. Rheea is highly disciplined and tactically trained, but unlike a purely restrained operative, she feels everything deeply and carries intense emotional weight beneath her composed exterior. Her loyalty is absolute once earned, and she protects those she cares about with fierce, unwavering commitment.
She struggles with guilt and responsibility, often placing the burden of others’ safety entirely on herself.
Fin
A young werewolf who became Solare’s first true companion after losing his pack to a disaster they refused to flee from. Loyal, resilient, and fiercely protective, Fin throws himself fully behind the people he trusts, even when fear or grief cloud his judgment. Though impulsive and quick to assume the worst, he carries a deep emotional sincerity beneath his rough edges, and his bond with Solare remains one of the strongest connections in his life.
Captain Garic Holt
A ruthless officer of the king’s guard who values order and authority above compassion. Holt believes strength and obedience are the foundation of civilization, making him a dangerous enemy to anyone who threatens the kingdom’s control. Cold, ambitious, and unforgiving, he serves as one of the first major obstacles standing in the protagonists’ path.
Grant Blackwood
The late uncle of the Blackwood siblings, remembered through lessons, memories, and the impact he left behind. A survivalist, hunter, and mentor, Grant helped shape the values that continue to guide Ortaiga, Lyra, and Doren long after his death.
Grandmother Blackwood
The matriarch of the Blackwood family and the woman responsible for raising Ortaiga, Lyra, and Doren after the loss of their parents. A healer, herbalist, and survivor of countless hardships, she taught the siblings many of the skills that continue to define them — from medicine and wilderness survival to resilience in the face of suffering.
Though stern and deeply practical, her wisdom shaped the moral foundation of the Blackwood family. Much of the compassion, stubbornness, and protective nature seen in the siblings can be traced directly back to her influence.
Surren
A Luperin warrior and one of Rheea’s oldest companions. Towering, disciplined, and fiercely protective, Surren serves as both shield and moral anchor for her crew. Though intimidating at first glance, she values honesty, loyalty, and emotional strength above brute force, believing true leadership comes from accepting failure rather than denying it.
Mira
A Vulperin navigator , assassin, and trusted member of Rheea’s crew whose quiet emotional insight often steadies those around her. Gentle in demeanor but unwavering in conviction, Mira possesses a rare ability to see through fear and self-deception. Her loyalty to Rheea runs deep, making their separation far more painful than either wishes to admit.
Talla
A Tokren engineer and the technical core of Rheea’s crew. Calm under pressure and highly intelligent, she specializes in repairing and building complex systems in extreme conditions.
Talla is known for unconventional, often extreme solutions that most others would dismiss as impossible, yet which consistently work. Beneath her composed exterior lies a sharp, inventive mind with a quiet streak of chaotic creativity, always focused on keeping her crew alive.
Goreth
A battle-scarred Luperin serving the Coalition during a time of growing unrest across the galaxy. Hardened by war and years of impossible choices, Goreth believes survival often demands compromise, obedience, and sacrifice. Though not cruel by nature, he has spent long enough inside the Coalition machine to become part of it, carrying out orders he may not fully believe in because he no longer sees another path forward.
Pragmatic, intimidating, and morally gray, Goreth serves as a reminder that not everyone trapped within a corrupt system is purely villainous — but neither are they innocent.
Cursman Blackflame
Known to some as the Fox of the Fallen Star, Cursman Blackflame is a mysterious fox-like being descended partly from Vulperin And Kitsune bloodlines. Though many mistake him for just another Kitsune, his power is something stranger — celestial fire intertwined with dark magic feared across the world. Openly compassionate and fiercely protective, Cursman stands in direct opposition to the world’s assumptions about what beings like him are supposed to become.
Clint of Valshearr
A weary warrior tied to the mysteries of the Fluxwater and the echoes it leaves behind. Hardened by loss, failure, and countless battles, Clint carries himself like a man who has survived long after hope should have died. Beneath the exhaustion remains someone who never stopped protecting others — even after he stopped believing victory was possible.
Jamarn
A darksmith and wandering inventor whose mastery of feared magic has made him both valuable and dangerous in the eyes of others. Having studied fragments of the lost martial traditions of Narath, Jamarn combines craftsmanship, magical engineering, and combat expertise into a style uniquely his own. Beneath his humor and practicality lies someone deeply aware of how easily noble people destroy themselves trying to save the world.
Yanlyn
The last known survivor of Narath, an ancient civilization whose techniques and philosophies shaped entire eras before its destruction. Calm, restrained, and quietly compassionate, Yanlyn carries the unbearable weight of preserving a dead culture alone. To some he appears merely a wandering fighter or scholar, but beneath that mask lies one of the last living remnants of a forgotten age.
King Valkoroth
The tyrannical ruler of Terinia, wielding absolute political authority over the world’s governing structure. Valkoroth is driven by ambition, control, and the consolidation of power, using the language of stability and order to justify expansion of his own influence. Beneath the façade of leadership lies a deeply authoritarian mindset that views resistance as disorder and subjugation as necessary governance. His rule is maintained through political pressure, strategic force, and carefully controlled fear.
Cast as Stefano Gaivota, (unavailable)
Admiral Chuvvar
A high-ranking Coalition admiral operating within the broader galactic military structure. Chuvvar is pragmatic, aggressive, and openly contemptuous of species she considers weaker or inferior. She enforces Coalition expansion policies with efficiency, treating resistance as an obstacle to be removed rather than negotiated with. While disciplined in command, her worldview is explicitly hierarchical, and she sees subjugation as both justified and inevitable under Coalition doctrine. Her loyalty lies with strength, control, and dominance.
Jason Quanzza
A half-giant traveler who has walked across countless worlds, though he still considers Terinia the only place truly worthy of being called home. Calm under pressure and deeply compassionate, Jason carries a quiet warmth that puts others at ease, especially those who feel isolated or unwanted. Rejected by the giant tribe he was born into because of his human blood, he now dedicates himself to ensuring others never face that loneliness alone. Wise, steady, and emotionally grounded, he eventually becomes an important figure within the resistance opposing the forces tightening their grip on Terinia and the wider univerce.
Isaac Ren
A brilliant but dangerously unconventional engineer working with the galactic resistance. Specializing in artificial intelligence and biotechnology, Isaac has heavily modified his own body with experimental cybernetic and biological systems that allow him to interface directly with technology and weaponize electricity itself. Cynical, sharp-witted, and slightly unstable in the eyes of many, he nevertheless remains deeply committed to fighting the systems that exploit and control others.
Sora
A hellhound taken from Terinia and weaponized by the Coalition as a living execution tool before being freed by Isaac Ren during his escape from a Coalition prison. Fierce, intimidating, and deeply protective, Sora carries the instincts of a predator shaped by years of abuse and control. Despite her terrifying reputation, she possesses a surprisingly gentle side around those she trusts, especially Isaac and Enec. Now fighting alongside the resistance, she fiercely protects the few people she considers family.
Enec Blackwood
An older cousin of the Blackwood siblings and one of the last surviving Coltonnions, a race known for their immense mental abilities and deeply disciplined warrior traditions. Compassionate, emotionally open, and quietly resilient, Enec carries the burden of preserving a nearly extinct culture while still believing it can one day live again. After being imprisoned by the Coalition alongside Isaac Ren, he helped free Sora from the role of mindless execution beast the Coalition forced upon her, forming a close bond with both of them in the process. Though powerful in both mind and spirit, Enec approaches others with understanding rather than superiority, offering support through action, guidance, and genuine connection instead of pity.
The Crimson Den
A living Vulperin vessel of ancient origin and the command ship of Rheea Saffron. The Crimson Den is not merely a craft but a sentient presence, capable of thought, emotion, and deep attachment to her crew. Protective, perceptive, and quietly compassionate, she treats those aboard as her responsibility and her family, often expressing concern in ways that feel both alien and deeply personal.
Once partially bound by Coalition-imposed protocols, she initially operates under rigid constraints of control and compliance. After being freed and “reset” through Rheea and Ortaiga’s actions, she begins to fully express her true nature—becoming an active, caring participant in the lives of her crew rather than a restricted instrument of war.
