What differs

Light touched kitsune are those descended from the crossing between kitsune bloodlines and the Seelie fae. That crossing left them light magic, and the inheritance has held ever since even though the bloodlines themselves stopped mixing a very long time ago.

Because light magic draws on the world around the wielder rather than on the wielder, a light-touched kitsune never runs low. Their exhaustion comes from exertion instead — they tire the way anyone tires from hard work, not from being drained.

The one capability they do not have is possession, which belongs to the dark touched alone. Shapeshifting, illusion, foxfire and soul-feeding all work exactly as they do for any kitsune.

Magic

Light is one of the four pure magics, alongside dark, chaos and order — the magics that created the fundamental forces, though they have not outranked them for a very long time.

Being light touched fixes where a kitsune’s power comes from. It fixes nothing about what they do with it, and nothing whatsoever about who they are.
