Desert Luperin
Born to the desert region — the thinnest coat in the species, insulated from underneath instead.
A breed of Luperin
What differs
Desert luperin are those born to the desert region of the luperin homeworld, and they solve the same problem the frost lineages do from the opposite direction.
The coat is the shortest and thinnest in the species, which suits the daytime heat. The insulation is underneath instead: a thick layer of fat laid over the muscle, which holds warmth through the desert’s cold nights without trapping it during the day.
Build otherwise sits within the ordinary species range, and lean-to-broad varies by individual the way it does everywhere else.
Magic
Nothing beyond the species trait. The head striping works identically here, though the wider spacing between desert packs means an outsider’s message is less likely to find a chain of luperin willing to retransmit it.
