A majestic hybrid creature stands poised for action, its form a seamless fusion of wolf, lion, and dragon. Black fur streaked with silver flows into shimmering green and iridescent blue scales, its powerful frame radiating strength. Draconic feet grip the earth, a long spiked tail sways behind, and vast blue wings extend from its back, ready to carry it skyward. Its left hand is a formidable wolf’s paw, the right that of a lion, each clawed and deadly. Swirling, ever-shifting eyes—amber, green, blue, red, and white—gleam with fierce intelligence. A wolf’s muzzle lined with dragon’s teeth gives it a fearsome presence, while lion’s ears and caramel-colored horns curving slightly at the tips complete its regal visage. Strapped across its back, two swords await their call to battle—one glowing with golden light, its circular hilt radiating power, the other a silver blade etched with sun and moon symbols, its ornate grip gleaming in the sun. The creature stands beneath a brilliant sky, the sun casting golden rays over the lush trees behind it and the endless blue ocean stretching beyond the sandy shore. Strength, mystery, and primal majesty intertwine in its presence—guardian of the wilds, ruler of the unseen, and force of untamed legend.

Name

Kynd comes from the Old Norse kynda, to kindle or to light a fire. It is the root the English word kindle descends from.

Alia comes from the Latin alius, other or another, the same ending carried in Noctalia’s name.

She who kindles others is the direct reading. The fuller sense is the one who lights the fire in someone else and trusts it to keep burning on its own, which is exactly what she does with the friendships she starts.

Temperament

Kyndalia lives to help the people around her feel better and more alive. She is joyful in company and deeply social, and she is at her happiest surrounded by others, with everyone talking at once and nobody left at the edge of it.

What she builds is community. She draws people together and makes the space between them welcoming and safe, a place where they can be easy with one another as well as with her. She introduces, she includes, and she notices who is standing a step outside the circle.

Her deepest pleasure is watching the friendships she sparked carry on without her. Two people she once brought together, still close long afterwards, mean more to her than almost anything else, and she counts every one of those bonds as something that went right in the world.

Her healing grows from the same care. She is a very good healer, and when someone is hurting, all of her bright energy settles into patience and warmth. She stays beside them for as long as they need, and she treats helping someone feel whole again as the most natural thing she could possibly be doing.

Physical description

Kyndalia is a bright, joyful wolf who seems lit from within, and she is openly, wholeheartedly glad to see whoever comes her way. Her welcome is immediate and warm, arriving before a single word has passed, and she brims with energy and life, as though every moment holds something worth bounding toward. Beneath all that brightness lies a deep, gentle care for everyone around her. When someone needs it, her energy gathers itself into a healer’s calm, quiet and steady and wholly attentive, and it settles over her as naturally as dusk settles over a meadow.

She is larger than any natural wolf, standing on four long legs with the lean, easy build of a runner. Everything about her frame speaks of lightness and agility, from the length of her stride to the spring held ready in every limb, and she carries herself as though the ground itself is glad to have her running over it.

Her coat is thick and dark, a reddish brown that holds several shades within it, all layered together like the colours of autumn earth. Coarse guard hairs lie over a soft, dense underfur, so a hand drawn across her meets a pleasant roughness on top and sinks into warmth beneath. The colour runs darkest through her chest and throat and lightens as it travels outward, growing closer and closer to a full, vivid red at the tips of her ears, across her paws and at the end of her tail. In sunlight that red seems to glow, bright as embers caught in the open air.

Her face carries the classic lines of a wolf’s muzzle, and its expression is soft and open. Dark lips and a dark lining around her eyes frame her features, setting off the warmth of her coat and the brightness of her blue eyes. She smiles easily and often, and the smile reaches every part of her face.

Her eyes are a vibrant, deep blue, bright and clear, warm and expressive, and they catch the light the way still water catches moonlight. At night the tie she carries to the moon shows in them, a gentle silvered gleam rising in their blue.

Her ears are pointed and red-tipped, and wonderfully expressive, lifting, turning and flattening with every passing feeling. Her tail ends in that same brightening red. At rest she carries it low, and when she is happy it rises high and wags freely, which happens a great deal.

Her paws wear the lightest red of her coat, tipped with dark claws. When she heals, they become the gentlest thing about her, resting on another with a lightness that seems impossible for anything so quick.

She carries a strong tie to the moon, along with body, spirit and vital affinities, and she is a very good healer. Her healing flows through touch, rising as a soft, silvery glow wherever she lays a paw or presses close, and it carries a spreading warmth into whoever receives it. The body affinity shows plainly in her speed and her endurance, and it lives in her healing as well.

Everything she feels shows, and she likes it that way. Her tail sways and wags, her ears lift and turn, and her eyes brighten or soften. She leans into the people she loves, pressing her warm weight against them, and every part of her shows what she feels as openly as the next.

She moves in bounding, energetic leaps, a graceful runner covering ground with joyful ease. In a crowd she weaves between people, touching in with one and then the next, threading through the gathering as though stitching it together. And when someone needs her, all that motion slows, and she settles gently down beside them and stays.

Being near Kyndalia feels like arriving somewhere you are expected. Her company is welcoming and safe, lively and bright, and it carries a deep, healing certainty that things are going to get better.

She smells of a pine forest, and of warm fur that has lain long in the sunlight.

Kyndalia is a bonfire with a circle of friends gathered around it, a trail worn smooth by many feet travelling together, and a howl answered from several directions at once. She is moonlight falling on red fur, and the spark that lights a fire and trusts it to keep burning long after she has moved on to kindle the next.
